He then attended William T. Dwyer High School where he was a star with his performances earning him a place on the University of Florida’s college football team.

He initially started as a backup to starter John Brantley. Brisset made his starting debut against LSU. Brisset then entered his sophomore year competing with Jeff Driskel for the starting quarterback position before transferring to North Carolina State University where Brisset made a name for himself passing 2,606 yards with 23 touchdowns and five interceptions before passing 2,662 yards and 20 touchdowns and six interceptions in his senior year.

Brisset was then selected by the Patriots as a third round draft pick and 91st overall in 2016 NFL Draft.

Professional Football Career:

Jacoby Brissett declared for the 2016 NFL Draft and was selected by the New England Patriots in the third round. He served as a backup to Tom Brady during his rookie season and played in three games, completing one pass for 9 yards.

In 2017, Brissett was traded to the Indianapolis Colts for wide receiver Phillip Dorsett. He started the season as the backup to quarterback Andrew Luck, but became the team’s starter in Week 2 after Luck was sidelined with a shoulder injury. Jacoby Brissett started a total of 15 games in 2017, throwing for 3,098 yards, 13 touchdowns, and 7 interceptions. However, the team finished with a 4-12 record.
